In this package, we will trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Ghorepani-Poon Hill route which offers you the most stunning views of Himalaya ranges.
Trip Highlights
After you land at Tribhuwan International Airport in Katmandu, you will be received by our representatives who will then assist you to transfer to your hotel. After check-in, we will have a short briefing of your trek. Remaining time is free for independent activities. You can relax or have an evening stroll around the city for your own leisure.
O/N: Hotel
While our staff prepares your trek permits, we will take a tour of Kathmandu. This ancient city has lots of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will first visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which used to be the palace of the rulers of the ancient Kathmandu. We will then take you to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world. Next, we will visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest unique stupas in the world. Take some time to immerse yourself in the spiritual vibes of Boudhanath after which we will head back to the hotel. You will then meet your guide for trek briefing.
We will take an early flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and drive to Nayapul to start our trek on the same day. From there, we will pass through many local villages and teahouses with warm hospitality. We will cross Birenthanti village and arrive at Tikhedhunga where we will spend the night.

From Tikhedhunga, we will take unrelenting stone staircase to Ulleri on the way to Ghorepani. We will then pass through pastures and cultivated fields, walking beside the cascading river and rhododendron forest. The trails are fully covered with snow in winter. The warm hospitality of Ghorepani will make you forget the long day’s walk.

We will leave our belongings in the hotel and leave for Poon Hill (3,210m) at dawn. About an hour of climb to Poon Hill will give us the most stunning view of different mountain, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna mountain range and Niliri Mountain among many others! The sunrise from Poon Hill is very stunning as well. We will return to hotel in Ghorepani for breakfast and then take descending trail to Tadapani village where we continue our mountain views.

Tadapani to Chomrong is an easy trail but is packed with idyllic views. There are plenty of excellent teahouses along the way for tired trekkers. The trails will take us uphill and downhill before reaching Chomrong village, situated in the valley that leads directly to the Annapurna Sanctuary.

After leaving Chomrong, we will take a descending trail and cross the Chomrong River on a suspension bridge. We will then have to make ascent to Kuldi and then descend a slippery staircase into a forest to reach Doban village to take well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, we will cross Modi Khola Valley watching the mountains rise around us, eventually reaching Machhapuchhare Base Camp. It’s the same mountain you see reflected in Phewa Lake of Pokhara! But ascents of this mountain is prohibited because it is considered sacred to the God Shiva. The base camp is totally surrounded by mountains and offers panorama view of different peaks. Another day closer to our ultimate destination!

We can leave our belongings at Macchapuchhre Base Camp and head off to Annapurna Base Camp, which can be reached within two hours. Enjoy the Annapurna Sanctuary deep in the heart of the frozen mountains! The picturesque landscapes and panoramic view of the mountains will make you forget all your tiredness. We will descend to Macchapuchhre Base Camp for overnight stay.

We can catch a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas if we get up early in the morning. After breakfast, we will begin descending back. Stunning views of fishtail and Hiuchuli Mountains, waterfalls, and forested trails will fuel our energy throughout the trip. We will pass Deurali, Doban and finally reach Bamboo. Trekking back is a lot easier than the ascent, unsurprisingly.

We continue our descending towards Sinuwa, reach Chomrong and make push towards today’s final destination, Jhinu Danda. It is a home to natural hot springs which is really good for relaxing our tired muscles.

Today is the final day of trekking. Leaving Jhinu, we will walk three hours to reach Kimche from where we will take a jeep to Pokhara. After spending so much time in rural settlements, the urban Pokhara feels like a breath of fresh air!

We will take a morning flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Depending on your international flight schedule, you can spend some time visiting nearby places or shopping in preparation for departure. We will drive you to Tribhuwan International Airport two hours prior your flight time. And comes the final departure with lots of memories.
